The Monthly Meeting of the University Council

 Today, Tuesday, the University Council, headed by Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, holds its periodic session in the Council Hall to discuss a number of issues related to the educational and research process, and to review developments and topics presented to the Council, in the presence of Major General Gamal Nour El-Din, Governor of Kafrelsheikh; Dr. Mohammed Abd El-Aal, Vice President for Education and Students’ Affairs, Dr. Ismail Al-Qon, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Dr. Ali Sabry, Secretary General of the University, Deans of Faculties, and Abd Allah Ghallab, Legal Advisor of the University.

Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky indicates that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in the last meeting of the Supreme Council of Universities, focuses on the issue of regional alliances launched by the Ministry, which includes the Delta Region Alliance of private, scientific and governmental universities within the Delta, the private sector and localities, as many successive meetings will be held with the seven regional alliances.

Major General Jamal Noor El-Din indicates that the governorate is witnessing a comprehensive development plan in terms of the road sector, which is witnessing modernization and development in some of the main entrances of the city of Kafrelsheikh and some of the main centers in the governorate, such as the center of Desouk and Baltim, as the governorate pays attention to making a map for the roads that will be updated and developed through a plan based on smart foundations and an appropriate financial budget for how to modernize and maximize these roads, as the governorate has adopted roads on its list of priorities, and it has set future plans for the coming years for this, as the old roads contain many facilities that have many interlocking networks that heavy paving tools can rub against some water and sewage connections, which exposes them to breakage, which delays the completion of paving and modernization works.

He refers to the works that are nearing completion, such as the Youth Development Center, which includes the first Olympic swimming pool and is equipped with the most modern stadiums; there are also a number of activities with many agencies, which are being studied, one of which is a series of shops for the distribution of food commodities, which will be established on about five acres, which will be a major center for the distribution of products.

The Ministries of Supply and the Business Sector have also adopted many modern constructions and commercial activities in the governorate, which will provide job opportunities for a large number of young graduates and business owners, which will make a big difference in the shape of the governorate in the coming years.

He goes on to talk about the health sector, which the governorate has also given attention to in terms of restructuring and developing hospitals that have been exhausted, such as Beylla Hospital, Oncology Hospital, and Al-Sadr Complex hospitals, which the governorate is working hard to develop and supply with the latest devices and equipment that will make a big leap within the health sector.

The President confirms the great efforts made by the political leadership in providing all services to citizens through its presidential initiatives that it launches to improve the quality and standard of life of citizens and provide their requirements and needs.
