An Awareness Workshop entitled “Transformation to Digital Programs via E-learning Platforms”

 The E-Learning Unit organizes an awareness workshop in the seminar hall of the Faculty of Dentistry, entitled “Transformation to digital programs via e-learning platforms,” to raise awareness of the importance of electronic platforms to serve the educational process with the aim of transforming into digital programs and universities, under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouki, President of the University; Prof. Dr. Mohammed Abd El-Aal, Vice President for Education and Students’ Affairs; Dr. Ismail Al-Qon, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Dr. Amany Shaker, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, in the presence of Dr. Enas Al-Jundy, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, and the workshop lecturer was Dr. Mai Ramadan, Director of the University’s E-Learning Unit.

The president points out that the optimal use of platforms includes providing the opportunity to access educational content at any time and from anywhere, which increases the flexibility of learning continuity, especially in times of crisis, as well as evaluating learning outcomes more accurately and objectively, which helps improve student performance, providing high-quality educational content, also achieving the goals of sustainable development in preserving the environment, by using electronic means in all stages of the educational process to save paper use, at the level of uploading educational material, conducting tests, managing academic records, communication between students and staff members, achieving quality education, which is the fourth goal of the group of seventeen sustainable development goals set by the United Nations to achieve sustainable development by 2030, and achieve the digital transformation of university education, as it represents a continuous process and not a momentary event, as it requires cooperation from all parties involved.

 

For his part, Dr. Mohammed Abd El-Aal, Vice President for Education and Students’ Affairs, indicates that the goal of these workshops is to allow Kafrelsheikh University to be a digital and environmentally friendly university that relies on digital technology in providing its educational services, including teaching, learning, research and management to improve the efficiency of managing the educational process and providing educational content interactively.
