The President receives the Torch of the 13th Egyptian Universities Youth Week

 Today, Wednesday, Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, the President, receives the torch of the thirteenth Egyptian Universities Youth Week, which will be organized by Helwan University next September, under the patronage of Dr. Mohammed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, in the presence of Dr. Mohammed Abd El-Al, Vice President of the University for Education and Students’ Affairs; Dr. Ismail Al-Qon, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Dr. Amany Shaker, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Dr. Ali Sabry, Secretary General of the University, and Dr. Rushdy Al-Adawy, the general coordinator of student activities at the university.

The President confirms the importance of the event, as it is considered a national occasion in which distinguished young people from Egyptian universities meet to compete honorably in many sports, scientific, social, cultural and scouting activities, praising the extent of the achievements witnessed by the Egyptian state in the sports sector and supporting youth activities, and the launch of many events within the framework of investing in youth energies and supporting their success in various activities.

Dr. Mohammed El-Aal, Vice President for Education and Students’ Affairs, explains that Helwan University is hosting the activities of the University Youth Week in its thirteenth edition, from September 8 to September 14. The torch transmission festival includes a number of events and activities, including displaying the torch of the week in the various universities that previously hosted the week, and receiving the torch of the university youth week, with each university showing its own identity.

It is worth noting that the “torch” is transmitted in three paths in Egyptian universities, starting from Assiut University moving to Minya University, then from Zagazig University, then Suez Canal University to Cairo University, then from Menoufia University to Mansoura University, then to Kafrelsheikh University, and from there to Helwan University.
