The President witnesses the Activities of the Third Day of launching Medical and Awareness Convoys within the “You are the Life” initiative for the Zafran Village

 Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, witnesses the activities of the third day in a row to launch medical and awareness convoys within the “You are the Life” initiative for the village of Zafran and the neighboring villages in the Hamoul Center, which continued for three consecutive days, in the presence of Major General Gamal Nour El-Din, Governor of Kafrelsheikh, Dr. Amany Shaker, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs and Rapporteur of the National Council for Women in the Governorate, Mr Amr Al-Beshbishi, Deputy Governor, and Colonel Osama El-Desouki, Director of the Office of the Dignified Life Foundation in the Governorate, within the framework of the “You are the Life” initiative, which is launched by the Dignified Life Foundation for the Development of the Egyptian Rural Development, in cooperation with the National Council for Women, and as a continuation of the series of convoys launched by the university in the most needy villages at the governorate level.

A number of specialized professors from the Faculties of Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy and Agriculture participate in the convoy, as a large number of citizens are examined in various medical specialties, which include “Ophthalmology - Dermatology - Cardiovascular - Pediatric - Neuro Surgery - Urology - Cardio-thoracic Surgery - Orthopedic Surgery - Internal Medicine - Diabetes and Endocrinology - General Surgery - Oto-Rhino-Laryngology (ENT) - Obstetrics and Gynecology - Dentistry – Prosthetics”.

The university also holds educational and awareness seminars, lectured by Dr. Faisal Metwally, Dr. Eman Helmy, and Dr. Osama Abd El Hamid at the Faculty of Arts. The seminars revolve around the most important problems prevalent in the Egyptian countryside (early marriage, female circumcision, reproductive health), as well as developing the spirit of belonging by presenting the national projects undertaken by the state in order to serve the Egyptian citizen.

Major General Gamal Nour El-Din, Governor of Kafrelsheikh, praises the comprehensive medical and awareness convoys organized by Kafrelsheikh University, in cooperation with the Dignified Life Foundation under the patronage of President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, extending his thanks to Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, the medical staff and all participants in all specialties, and the Dignified Life Foundation, for their keenness to provide medical services to the people of the governorate, especially in the remote areas most in need.

Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, stresses the continuation of launching medical and development awareness convoys to the areas most in need in all the centers of Kafrelsheikh Governorate, with the aim of conducting medical examinations, providing free treatment, and educating citizens by holding seminars and lectures that serve these villages and work to develop their skills.

 He adds that the medical convoy witnesses a great turnout in the first three days from the people and conducts medical examinations on 5021 cases from the village of Zafraan and the neighboring villages, by a group of specialized and distinguished doctors in various specialties, within the initiative of a dignified life, and free drugs are provided to all patients.
