Kafrelsheikh University ranks the Fourth Place in the Research Performance Index of the Scimago Ranking for the year 2023

 Kafrelsheikh University achieves a new achievement in the international rankings, according to the Scimago ranking of research and academic institutions, as Kafrelsheikh University advances from the position (4573) for the year 2022 to the position (3788) for the year 2023 at the international level; at the local level, the university advanced from the eleventh place to the seventh place.

The President Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, announces that the university has made remarkable progress, as Kafrelsheikh University has obtained the fourth place locally in the research performance index for the year 2023, after giving up the sixth place for the year 2022.

Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky explains that the Scimago ranking for research and academic institutions is one of the most important international rankings, and the general index in this ranking is based on three sub-indicators as follows: 50% for the research performance index, 30% for the innovation outputs index, and 20% for the societal impact index, under which 17 sub-indicators for performance evaluation are included.

The president adds that the ranking issued recently in April 2023 includes five sections: government institutions, health institutions, companies, and non-profit institutions, as the total number of institutions in this year’s classification reached (8433) international institutions, compared to (8084) international institutions in 2022, with an increase of (349) new institutions, which means the strength of international competition among the institutions included in the ranking.

The president adds that the ranking, issued recently in April 2023, includes five sections: government institutions, health institutions, companies, and non-profit institutions.

He points out that this ranking is a strong international recognition of the university's development in education and scientific research, indicating that international rankings contribute significantly to improving the reputation of the university internationally in particular and to Egypt in general in the field of higher education and scientific research.
