AbstractThis study aimed mainly to determine the factors affecting knowledge extension needs of rural women related to some home economics fields in some Delta Governorates. Study data were collected by Personal interview questionnaires, through a random sample amounted 265 respondents about 10% of the population amounted 2650, (112 respondents from Kafr El-sheikh, while 83 respondents from El-Gharbia, and 70 respondents from Domiaat governorates). Collected data were coded and analyzed using frequencies, percentages, means, standard deviation, simple & multiple correlation coefficients, partial & multiple regression coefficient and (ANOVA) test. The most important findings of this study could be summarizing as follows: - Approximately 85 % of the respondents had either high or moderate extension knowledge needs levels about some home economics fields. - Approximately 80%, 85%, 81%, 66%, and 88% of the respondents had either high or moderate extension knowledge needs levels about poultry production field, food industrialization, keeping of clothes, safety food, and rationalization of food consumption respectively. - there are a significant positive correlation relationship, at 0.01 level of significance between the degree of respondents extension knowledge needs about some home economics fields as a dependent variable families animal holding. Also, there were at 0.05 level of significance about; sons education average, communication with extension work. - there are a significant negative correlation relationship, at 0.01 level of significance with state of education, families farming land holding, self designation to opinion leadership, available extension service, cosmopletness, and families annual income. - the studied correlated indepented variables combined explained 54.7 % from the variation in the extension knowledge needs. There were five independent variables significantly affected the respondents degrees of extension knowledge needs about some home economics fields which were: available extension service, cosmopletness, self designation to opinion leadership, families` farming land holding, informal social participation.
