Prof. Yahya Eid, President of Kafrelsheikh University, inaugurated the annual scientific conference of the Department of Surgery, Anesthesiology, and Radiology at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. The event was attended by the university's vice president for Postgraduate Studies and Research, the dean and vice deans of the faculty, the syndicate of veterinarians, the director of the Animal Health Laboratory, along with faculty members, researchers, and postgraduate students.
In his speech, the university president affirmed that the conference reflects the university's commitment to supporting applied scientific research and linking its outcomes to community needs, particularly in vital fields such as veterinary medicine, in line with Egypt's Vision 2030 for sustainable development. He noted that scientific conferences serve as a platform for exchanging expertise and keeping up with modern technologies, emphasizing the university's full support for activities that enhance educational efficiency and prepare competitive cadres locally and internationally.
The Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research stated that the conference showcases the faculty's distinguished research activity and provides an environment stimulating innovation while strengthening research partnerships to serve development plans. The Dean of the Faculty added that the conference aims to present the latest developments in veterinary surgery, anesthesiology, and radiology, and to discuss research challenges. The event also honored outstanding students in surgery and recipients of master's and doctoral degrees. The conference concluded with an emphasis on continuing such events to support the university's position as a leading educational and research institution.
