Requirements for PhD Degree

1- The student must pass the courses specified for him, in PhD level, with a minimum GPA level of 2.0

2.   Completion of an original research project that represents a significant scientific contribution that leads to the submission of an acceptable PhD dissertation.

3. The candidate must pass the qualification exam (from 5-7 professors) in the relevant sciences in relation to his area of study.

4.   Upon timely completion of the thesis research project, the candidate prepares a dissertation and submits the final draft to his thesis supervisors. The committee ascertains the suitability of the draft and recommends amendments, which the candidate must complete before the final defense is scheduled. Once approved by the committee, permission is granted for the candidate to present and defend his dissertation in a public seminar.

5.  To complete the requirements for obtaining a PhD degree, the student (and his supervisors) must be the authors of at least TWO scientific publications from the research results of the thesis, whether published or accepted for publication in internationally refereed scientific journals with an ISI impact factor in his field of specialization.

6- The student must pass the requested training courses, workshops and TOEFL exams (with the required score) and present them to postgraduates office before his dissertation defends.
