The College of Engineering participates with two innovative projects in the 7th International Exhibition of Innovation 2023

13/2/2023

The Faculty of Engineering, Kafrelsheikh University, participated in a large international participation with two innovative projects in the 7th International Exhibition of Innovation 2023, in the presence of a group of ministers, governors, and presidents of Egyptian universities.

Kafrelsheikh University is participating in the Cairo International Innovation Fair in its seventh edition, with 12 innovative and research projects, which is organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Saqr, President of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, on February 13 and 14 in the New Administrative Capital

The College of Engineering is keen to develop the skills of its students in the field of innovation, and to develop its academic and research programs based on the use of modern technologies, which contributes to the provision of high-quality education, and to enable its students to acquire knowledge, experience and skills associated with innovation that enable them to compete in the labor market. The mechatronics engineering program at the college is characterized by the importance of practical applications, as it combines the science of electrical engineering and mechanical engineering, as well as control and computer engineering. The integration of these systems with each other is an integrated system in which multiple sciences and knowledge are applied.

The first project: Designing and manufacturing an integrated model of the Skara industrial robot

Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Heliel (Dean of the Faculty of Engineering)

And the work of the students: Muhammad Hisham Abboud & Muhammad Ibrahim Abdel Fattah

It is one of the most important robots used in the industry, due to its high flexibility and small workspace in which it can carry out all its tasks with the highest efficiency and quality, in addition to its low energy consumption and ease of work environment.

The second project: A 3D printer with a moving belt

Under the supervision of Dr. Muhammad Al-Tayeb, Dr. Rushdi Abu Shanab, and Dr. Ghada Hameesa

And a team of distinguished students attended by the student Muhammad Suleiman

The idea of ??the project is based on the newly proposed approach to designing 3D printers by creating the object to be printed on a moving surface (brushes) that is a conveyor belt instead of fixed brushes in the traditional design. This is expected to print large length figures, as well as the ability to print successive parts on the conveyor belt.
