Kafrelsheikh University participates in the Electric Cars Rally in Sharm El-Sheikh among 22 teams

Kafrelsheikh University, represented by the Faculty of Engineering, participates in the fourth season of the “Ever Rally 2022 Electric Cars” race, under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, a competition funded by the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology and organized and technically supervised by the Innovation Center at Ain Shams University.

Prof. Dr. Abdel Razek Desouky, President of Kafrelsheikh University, stated that this year 22 teams from 22 Egyptian universities and technical institutes and a college of technology will participate in the championship, and they were selected by a committee of industrialists in the Egyptian market with their experience in the fields of the local automobile industry and engineering industries to provide manufacturing opportunities for the most efficient teams .

He explained that the “EVER 2022” Electric cars Rally is one of the programs of a huge project adopted by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and includes the formation of a national alliance for local manufacturing of the industries feeding the car industry with the aim of increasing the proportion of the local component, transferring and localizing technology, deepening local manufacturing and assembling scattered national capabilities at home and abroad.

The Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Kafrelsheikh University, Prof. Abdel Fattah Helil, said that the “EVER Egypt” Rally is a competition that gives young Egyptian engineers the opportunity to challenge their technical and creative skills in designing, building and developing the concept of the electric car.

Heliel added that the main task of this competition is to maximize the benefit of graduates of the College of Engineering students in multiple disciplines with the knowledge, practical skills and experience necessary in the design, manufacture, operation and maintenance of electric vehicles.
