An inspection tour of the Minister of Higher Education within the University of Kafr El Sheikh

Prof. Dr. Majid Al-Qamri, President of the University, accompanied by Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Major General Sayed Nasr, Governor of Kafr El-Sheikh and local leaders, toured this morning. During which he inspected the facilities of the university and the opening of the new Al-Alsun College and the building of the medical committee for the faculty members and laying the foundation stone of the emergency hospital in the university and the second stage of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and ensuring the proper functioning of educational and research at the university. During the opening of Al Alsun College, the minister listened to a detailed explanation of the college, where the college consists of a two-story building with a floor area of ??5000m and two classrooms with a capacity of 400 students per runway, 15 teaching rooms, 10 language labs, a specialized scientific library and offices for faculty members, The second of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine includes the development and raising the efficiency of the college and raising two floors and laying the foundation stone for the construction of a new building on an area of ??8000 thousand meters consisting of five floors at a total cost of 25 million pounds. The minister also opened the Central University Mosque, which was built on an area of ??1200 meters at a cost of 6 million pounds and provides for 1,200 worshipers. During the visit, the Minister visits the Faculty of Pharmacy, the College of Oral and Dental Medicine, the College of Nursing, the laboratories and the lecture halls. He assured the students and faculty members of the proper functioning of the educational process and the ongoing preparations for the end of the year exams. The minister also visited the Nanotechnology Research Center of the Faculty of Science, where he praised the university's efforts in supporting scientific research and Egypt's outstanding position in this research field, ranking 25th in the world in nanotechnology research. The Minister also inspected the College of Fisheries and Fish Farming and Research Laboratories at the College. The university president confirmed that this scientific specialization is needed by the labor market in the province, which is famous for fishing and fish production. He also inspected the final preparations for the full operation of the university hospital in Kafr El-Sheikh, which is scheduled to be inaugurated by the President of the Republic in the coming days and the capacity of 433 beds Equipped with 12 emergency units, 63 beds for intensive care, 13 operating rooms with capsule system, an astrology unit, cardiac surgery, and a unit for endoscopes, digestive system and bile duct.
