Department of psychology

Introduction:

The department presents psychological programs which aim at graduating students who are capable of:

1-    Applying a variety of psychological perspectives in life science.

2-    Linking theories to actual use efficiently.

3-    Solving problems as well as explaining the pressures that they are exposed to.

The academic standards we follow are to graduate students who are capable of:

·         Recognizing the basis of psychological research.

·         Recognizing the variations in psychology.

·         Analyzing their surrounding environment, plus attempting to develop it using the knowledge they acquired.

 

Mental skills:

 

It means that the graduate is capable of:

·         Identifying the mean reasons for each problem and trying to develop solutions to solve it.

·         Evaluating various situations, as well as planning and supervising of each of them.

·         Expressing efficiency at research skills through scientific and educational activities.

Professional and practical skills:

The graduate becomes capable of:

·         Transferring ideas and research results.

·         Interpreting and using arithmetic, statistic and other forms of information.

·         Knowing the factors and elements related to the individual, group and institution as well as the dynamics of their reactions.

 

General skills:

 

The graduate becomes capable of:

·         Using innovative ideas in communication to display the results of research evaluation effectively and fluently through the required means.

·         Using computerized programs as well as using numbers, statistics and other sources of information.

·         Being familiar with the culture and ability to take responsibilities.

·         Improving himself through addressing his weaknesses and improving his strengths.

·         Solving problems and overcoming social and operational obstacles.

·         Working within a team work.

·         Thinking in critical way.

·         Running dialogues in democratic way.
