1)      The main objective of the procurement function is to supply the requirements of the appropriate quantity and quality, timely and at the right price. One of the best sources of supply while avoiding the risk of double taxation and repeat purchase overcrowding and stagnant commodity.

2)      There is close link between purchasing and stores management and all university managements either responsive to the needs of these departments or asking assistance from some members to terminate their work and what is achieved by the general management of purchasing of achieving the planned objectives from the high management was the result of fruitful cooperation with all department and university units.

3)      The laws and regulations were developed for the process of purchasing in governmental device since 1948

·         Law No 58 was issued in 1953

·         Law No 188 was issued in 1953

·         Law No 236 was issued in 1954

·         Law No 9 was issued in 1983

·         Finally, law No 89 was issued in 1998 and its executive regulation

A)  Warehouse Management

B)  Purchasing Management
