Within the Presidential Initiative “Your Country Is With You" and Kafr El Sheikh University’s keenness to strengthen its societal role and deliver services to citizens in the governorate’s villages, the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector continued implementing its community programs and caravans. The sector organized a free therapeutic veterinary caravan in Daqalt Village, Kafr El Sheikh District, in cooperation with the university’s Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Kafr El Sheikh Veterinary Medicine Directorate.

The caravan was held under the patronage of Dr. Yahya Zakaria Eid, University President, and the leadership of Dr. Amani Mohamed Shaker, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, with the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Veterinary Medicine Directorate participating. This reflects the sector’s keenness to employ the university’s scientific and specialized capacities in serving needy village residents.

The sector affirmed that organizing the caravan comes within its integrated plan to perform its societal role, provide free therapeutic and advisory services, support breeders, preserve animal and poultry wealth, and raise awareness of healthy practices and disease prevention.

The caravan witnessed great turnout from village residents and breeders. The veterinary medical team provided free examination, testing, diagnosis, and treatment services, dispensed necessary medications and treatments, performed required operations and medical interventions, and provided veterinary guidance and awareness to breeders.

The total number of benefiting cases reached 1,300, including 460 internal medicine cases, 15 surgical cases, 175 reproductive cases, and 650 poultry cases. This confirms the scale of services the sector provides to citizens and its role in supporting state efforts to improve services provided in villages.
