Within the framework of the religious, awareness-raising, and cultural role that Kafrelsheikh University seeks in spreading moderate thought and enhancing correct religious awareness among students, the college witnessed the activities of the Cultural Week organized by the Al-Azhar Global Center for Electronic Fatwas in cooperation with Kafrelsheikh University, amid a distinguished academic presence and great interaction from the students. The events were held under the patronage of His Eminence, Professor Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, and His Excellency Professor Dr. Yahya Zakaria Ahmed Eid, President of Kafrelsheikh University.
The seminar was held under the supervision of Her Excellency the Dean, Professor Dr. Naglaa Hosni Al-Ashraf, Dean of the College, and Professor Dr. Roshdy Al-Adawy, General Coordinator of Student Activities at the university, and Mr. Ihab Gad, Director General of Student Activities at the university, in the presence of Professor Dr. Wajida Mohamed Hammad, Vice Dean of the College for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, and a number of esteemed faculty members and assistant staff of the college.
The seminar was presented by Dr. Ibrahim Gad Al-Karim, a religious preacher at the Al-Azhar Global Center for Electronic Fatwas, during which he addressed a number of important topics that enhance religious and intellectual awareness among students, emphasizing the importance of loving the homeland, preserving it, defending it, and the role of youth in protecting their country and maintaining its stability. He also took care to answer the various religious and intellectual questions of the students, clarifying many concepts and correcting some misconceptions within the framework of purposeful dialogue and direct communication with the students.
In this context, Her Excellency the Dean, Professor Dr. Naglaa Hosni Al-Ashraf, expressed her happiness in organizing these events, which come within the framework of the college’s keenness to enhance religious and cultural awareness. She confirmed that cooperation with the Al-Azhar Global Center for Electronic Fatwas represents an important step in spreading moderate thought, correcting misconceptions, and reinforcing the values of moderation and belonging among youth.
Her Excellency added that the university is keen to host such scientific and cultural meetings that open the horizons of dialogue for students and allow them to benefit from the scholars of Al-Azhar, contributing to preparing a conscious generation capable of facing contemporary intellectual challenges.
The events witnessed great interaction from the students, who were keen to participate in the dialogue and raise their questions in a fruitful scientific and cultural atmosphere, confirming the importance of these meetings in consolidating correct awareness and spreading enlightened thought within the university community, praying to God to protect Egypt and its youth.
