 Today, Tuesday, 11/4/2023, the Council of Deans holds its periodic meeting under the authority of Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, to discuss and review developments and topics presented to the Council, in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Abd El-Aal, Vice President for Education and Students’ Affairs; Dr. Ismail Al-Qon, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research Dr. Ali Sabry, Secretary of the University, and the deans of the faculties.

The president points out the need to intensify educational seminars and encourage students to participate in scientific and cultural competitions to urge students to read, learn, develop skills and employ creative ideas, in addition to examining the possibility of launching new educational programs to support students and graduates in the labor market, and what this results in bringing about a quantum leap in performance indicators and institutional development in various workplaces, also examining the possibility of launching educational programs in partnership with prestigious international universities, in addition to the extent to which the university can be linked to the economic environment and the mechanism of enhancing scientific and research cooperation with the industry and business community and local development agencies, as universities are one of the main pillars of the knowledge economy.

Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky confirms the university's keenness to participate in the competition of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for the best environmentally friendly university, as well as the university's participation in government excellence competitions, as the university has obtained many advanced positions at the level of Egyptian, Arab and international universities.

The Council of Deans discussed the faculties' attitudes on applying for accreditation, within the framework of directing towards the possibility of accrediting the university from the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education.

Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, stresses the need to promote the culture of volunteer work and encourage student participation in the projects of the Presidential Initiative, A Dignified Life, and the continuation of launching comprehensive and specialized convoys to the neediest villages as well as the continuation of organizing student visits to national projects with the aim of getting the university youth be acquainted with the major national and development projects that are being implemented in the governorates, the size of the achievement and development implemented by the state, and the intensification of the university's efforts in the field of literacy and adult education to contribute to reaching a society without illiteracy.

 

The Council of Deans reviews the attitudes of faculties and academic programs regarding academic accreditation and fulfillment of international classification standards, and followed up the updating the websites of university faculties.
