El Kemary Witnesses the Celebration of reception of New Students at the Faculty of Science

Prof Dr Maged el Kemary has witnessed today Wednesday the ceremony of reception of new students organized by the Faculty of Science to identify the university, its faculties, programs and different student activities in the presence of large number of new students.

El Kemary said in his speech that the student should be a good representative of the university through collecting the different sciences and their study excellence and the students should participate in the success of educational process through the balance between rights and duties and to participate in activities and different activities, stressing that the university has occupied a privileged position among Egyptian Universities of what it has possessed of constituents, strong infrastructure and excellent educational system as well as the university has progressed among the university to get the second place in the scientific classification and the first place for environment-friendly universities.

As well, El Kemary points out that the university is pride for every student of educational possibilities and staff members at the highest level of efficiency pointing out that the Faculty of Science has equipped research centers according to international standards. The student should participate in educational process, decision-making, student activities for building the personality of students and centrism that combines among science, arts, sport and culture, explaining the importance of enhancing the concept of university education based on learning and search for information from more than one source. Hence, reading is the way of knowledge in terms of production and application to transform to knowledge-based economy instead of the traditional economy and education and scientific research are weapons to overcome the war of ideas as external and internal challenges are multiple and the most important are war of ideas and knowledge siege.

Otherwise, El Kemary stresses that the university seeks to graduate nontraditional science students who will contribute to the research system positively, has a key role in serving the community and the use of modern techniques such as Nanotechnology to maximize the full benefit in all fields.

At the end of his speech, the president recommends staff members to participate in the success of educational process through acquiring students academic and professional skills that will rehabilitate them for job market after graduation.
