1) Development Projects
Within
the national program of state modernization, the projects of higher education
development in Egypt adopted and approved by the national conference of higher
education development in 2000
The
supreme council of universities No 405 on December 14, 2002 and No 406 on
February 8, 2003 has issued decisions about the approval of forming
organizational structure and the general framework organizer for management of implementation
of higher education development projects
Believing
from the University for its Role to contribute to the renaissance of
contemporary Egypt and to prepare the future generations what they need of
leading scientific leadership and prepare for its students what they need to be
scientific efficiency
The
president Prof Dr Maged el Kemary issues a resolution No 20 on Auguat 8, 2006
about establishing development projects management unit and appoints Prof Dr
Gamal Ahmed el Sayyad, the professor of Surgery in the Faculty of Veterinary
Medicine to be the executive manager of development project (UPMU)
The
president Prof Dr Maged el Kemary issues a resolution No (2916) for the year
2010 about appointing Prof Dr Ibrahim Ibrahim el Hawary, the professor in Food
Control Department to be the executive manager of development projects from
7/10/2010
2) Central Laboratory
Accreditation Rehabilitation Project
Within the plan of
accreditation plan allocated by the state for the laboratory in the five-year
plan 2007/2012 special for the support of university faculties to implement
continuous improvement and qualifying for accreditation projects (CIQAP) to
raise the institutional capacity, educational and research efficiency and
self-development, continuous improvement and qualifying for accreditation
program adopts competitive projects among universities and governmental
institutions of higher education and one of them is higher education
institutions of lab accreditation project as one of entrances for developing
the educational process inside the institutions of higher education.
As well, the project
aims to strategic goal which is the support of higher education institutions
for the accreditation of laboratories in the applied fields of international
authorities as one of components of rehabilitation for applying for academic
and institutional accreditation and to raise the level of its performance
according to international standards within the process of continuous
development as well as to activate the concept of linking the themes of
knowledge triangle (higher education, research and innovation) through
effective participation with productive and service institutions and as a model
adopted to be replicated within the institutions of higher education.
On the other hand, the
Egyptian Universities apply for this program in its first cycle by thirty four
competitive projects and only eight projects are accepted; one of them is
central laboratory accreditation for environmental studies at Kafrelsheikh
University.
3) Analysis Lab of Feed,
Water and Food of Animal Origin

The lab provides internationally certified
results data in analyses of feed, water and food of animal origin with high
degree of speed, accuracy and quality which depends on making decisions of
development, for producers and exporters of feed, animal wealth and its
products.
Goals:
Providing technical support for producers and
experts of feed, animal wealth and its products in making development decisions
through:
1) Making analyses with
high degree of speed and accuracy
2) Providing technical
consultations in the field of specialism of lab
3) Training of
practitioners and researchers.
4) Control quality and
investigate accuracy in documenting results
5) Raise efficiency and
technical merit for lab team
6) Making the lab
accredited reference
