Prof. Yahya Zakaria Eid, President of Kafrelsheikh University, chairs the meeting of the Distinguished Programs Council for the month of May 2026.
The meeting is held to follow up mechanisms for developing distinguished academic programs and enhancing their role in preparing qualified cadres equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to meet the requirements of the local, regional, and international labor market.
During the meeting, several topics are reviewed regarding the progress of distinguished programs across the university’s faculties. Discussions focus on mechanisms for developing academic regulations and updating curricula to align with rapid scientific and technological developments. The Council also follows up performance indicators of the distinguished programs and ways to enhance the quality of the educational process within them.
The meeting also discusses strengthening partnerships with industry and labor market institutions, as well as expanding practical and training activities. This contributes to providing an advanced educational environment that offers students greater opportunities to acquire practical experience and competitive skills.
Prof. Yahya Zakaria Eid, the President, affirms during the meeting that the university continues to work according to a clear strategic vision aimed at elevating the quality of the educational process and developing academic programs to achieve the highest standards of quality and excellence. This is in line with the goals of the national strategy for higher education and scientific research and Egypt’s Vision 2030.
The President explains that distinguished programs represent one of the important pillars in developing university education, as they provide modern specializations and advanced curricula that help prepare graduates capable of competing efficiently in the labor market. He confirms the need to continuously update these programs and link them to the actual needs of society and development requirements.
Regarding the university’s preparations for the second semester examinations of the academic year 2025/2026, Prof. Yahya Zakaria Eid directs the Deans of the faculties to complete all examination-related preparations, ensure the readiness of halls and committees, and provide a suitable environment that helps students perform their exams in an organized and safe setting.
The President confirms the application of the highest levels of discipline within examination committees, while providing all means of support and care for students. This ensures the smooth conduct of examinations and the achievement of equal opportunity, with continuous follow-up on all procedures within the faculties to guarantee that the exams reflect the prestigious standing of Kafrelsheikh University.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the University President confirms the need for continued coordination between various faculties and relevant departments to ensure the sustainable development of distinguished programs. This enhances the university’s academic standing and increases the competitiveness of its graduates at the local and international levels, alongside continuous monitoring of preparations for the second semester examinations to ensure they proceed with high efficiency.
