Kafrelsheikh University Participates in the “Egypt Entrepreneurship Rally 2022” Competition in its Sixth Edition

 The President Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Dosouky announces the university’s participation in the “Egypt Rally 2022” competition for Egyptian students, entrepreneurs and emerging companies at the headquarters of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport in Abu Qir, Alexandria, in the presence of Ambassador Kamal Hasan Ali, Assistant Secretary-General of the League of Arab States for Economic Affairs; Ambassador Gareth Bailey, the Ambassador of the United Kingdom in Cairo; Dr. Ismail Abd El-Ghaffar Ismail Farag, Head of the Arab Academy, ambassadors of the League of Arab States, a group of the presidents and representatives of universities.

The President Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky says that the university achieved the third place last year and won a prize of 25 thousand Egyptian pounds for the student Mahmoud Bakloul at the Faculty of Engineering.

The President stresses the keenness to benefit from the learning outcomes available at the university and to cooperate with those interested in entrepreneurship in order to disseminate awareness about the idea of entrepreneurship and its importance among university students and encourage them to implement their own projects and develop their intellectual skills, as well as help them transform their ideas into real projects on the ground, so the university contributes to increasing employment opportunities for its alumni, which contributes to raising the international ranking and international reputation of the university.

As well, Prof. Dr. Reda Saleh, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, adds that the competition is being organized for the sixth year in a row, in cooperation with many prestigious bodies concerned with entrepreneurship, and with the participation of a large number of Egyptian universities.

Last year, the university participated in the competition programs despite the Corona pandemic, in the presence of a number of staff members and students, intensive training programs at the academy, in order to promote the competition inside the university, pointing to the participation of 7 teams of university students last year in the various tracks of the competition and the university won third place.

 

Dr. Saleh explains that the "Egypt Entrepreneurship Rally 2022" competition is the largest Egyptian competition of its kind aimed at university students that aims to disseminate awareness of the concepts of entrepreneurship and its importance and encourage students at the undergraduate level to set up their own start-up projects, develop their intellectual skills, in addition to helping them transform their ideas into real projects on the ground.
