As part of Kafrelsheikh University’s awareness and educational role, and under the patronage of the Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed El-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector organizes a religious symposium at the Faculty of Science. The event is held in cooperation with Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, as part of the advocacy and religious guidance convoys, entitled “Correcting Misconceptions about the Prophetic Sunnah.”
Prof. Yahya Eid affirms the university’s keenness to organize such awareness symposiums, which contribute to building students’ awareness and correcting erroneous concepts. He highlights the importance of cooperation with Al-Azhar Al-Sharif as a beacon of moderation in spreading balanced thought.
Prof. Amany Shaker explains that the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector continues to implement advocacy and guidance convoys inside the university’s faculties. The aim is to strengthen religious and national values among students and confront extremist ideas through constructive dialogue and solid scholarship.
The symposium addresses several important topics, most notably: the role of the Prophetic Sunnah in raising youth awareness, correcting misconceptions about the Sunnah, presenting and scientifically refuting the most prominent doubts raised about the Prophetic Sunnah, affirming the authority of the Prophetic Sunnah as a primary source of Islamic legislation, and its role in enhancing national belonging and consolidating identity.
The lecturers confirm during the symposium that the Prophetic Sunnah represents a comprehensive way of life. They call on young people to seek accuracy in receiving religious information from reliable sources and not to be swayed by misguided ideas or rumors aimed at distorting the true religion.
