The Sector for Community Service and Environmental Development, in collaboration with the Ministry of Awqaf, organizes a religious seminar entitled "Rumors and Their Danger to the Individual and Society." The event is held at the Faculty of Pharmacy within the framework of the university's educational program for advocacy caravans and religious guidance. This initiative aligns with the Presidential Initiative for Human Development—"A New Beginning for Building the Egyptian Person"—launched by the President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic.

The President Prof Yahya Eid confirms that the university is keen to organize such awareness-raising seminars aimed at correcting misconceptions among youth, spreading societal and family awareness, and strengthening values of belonging and national responsibility. He explains that confronting rumors has become an urgent necessity amid technological advancements and the widespread use of social media. He describes rumors as one of the most dangerous non-traditional weapons used to destabilize security and stability and sow division within societies.

Otherwise, Prof. Amany Shaker, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, confirms that the university attaches great importance to organizing advocacy caravans and awareness and guidance programs due to their vital role in spreading enlightened moderate thought, correcting distorted religious concepts—especially among youth—and protecting society from destructive ideas and negative influences. She notes that these activities support the state's efforts to build the Egyptian individual intellectually, culturally, and religiously, while reinforcing values of moderation and belonging among university students.

The seminar features lectures by Sheikh Yasser Shaaban Khatab from the Kafrelsheikh Directorate of Awqaf, who addresses the danger of words and their impact on shaping societal awareness. He warns against the irresponsible use of social media and sharing information without verification, which contributes to the spread of rumors and violation of individuals' privacy. He confirms that the true Islamic religion calls for verification and confirmation before transmitting news, based on Islamic teachings that urge truthfulness and prohibit harming others.

Additionally, Sheikh Rushdy Muhammad Metwally, Imam and Preacher at the Kafrelsheikh Directorate of Awqaf, speaks about the role of youth in building and advancing society, as well as the importance of adhering to moral values and positive behaviors both inside and outside the university campus. He confirms the necessity of accuracy and confirming the truth of news before circulating it to preserve societal stability and national interests.
