In the Framework of the University’s Academic Structure
In response to the need for specialized nursing professionals in Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate, the Faculty of Nursing at Kafrelsheikh University was established by a decision of the Prime Minister (Decision No. 595/2013) and approved by the Kafrelsheikh University Council in its meeting on April 29, 2013, and the Nursing Sector Committee on March 25, 2013, in accordance with the decision of the Supreme Council of Universities.
A ministerial decision (No. 4467) was issued on November 24, 2013, approving the internal regulations of the Faculty of Nursing at Kafrelsheikh University, and the commencement of the Bachelor’s program in nursing in accordance with the faculty’s internal regulations.
A six-story building was allocated within the university campus, in front of the Faculty of Medicine, to serve as the headquarters for the Faculty of Nursing, in partnership with the Faculty of Physical Therapy, starting from the academic year 2013/2014.
In the academic year 2015/2016, the faculty’s headquarters was moved to its current location next to the Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Dentistry, and in front of the Faculty of Pharmacy. The new faculty building consists of five floors.
Prof. Dr. Magdy El-Qamary supervised the establishment of the faculty and the academic regulations.
Prof. Dr. Maha Abdel Aziz was appointed as the Dean of the Faculty of Nursing in 2013.
In 2019, Prof. Dr. Maha Abu Gaziya was appointed Dean of the Faculty of Nursing.
In 2023, Prof. Dr. Sabah Abu El-Fotouh Mohamed was appointed as the current Dean of the Faculty of Nursing.
