Prof. Dr. Yahia Eid, President of Kafr El-Sheikh University, attended the graduation ceremony of the sixth cohort of the Faculty of Medicine students at the University’s Conference Hall Theater. The event was attended by Eng. Hazem El-Ashmouni, Governor of Sharqia; Prof. Dr. Abdel Razek Desouky, former President of Kafr El-Sheikh University; Prof. Dr. Magdy El-Qomari, former President of the University; Prof. Dr. Ismail Ismail Ibrahim, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research; Prof. Dr. Amani Shaker, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Dr. Ali Abu Shousha, Vice President of Kafr El-Sheikh National University for Academic Affairs; Prof. Dr. Ali Sabry, Secretary-General of the University; along with current and former vice presidents, deans of faculties, hospital directors, faculty members, administrative staff, and parents.

In his speech, Prof. Dr. Yahia Eid expressed his pleasure and honor, on behalf of the Kafr El-Sheikh University family, in welcoming the distinguished guests and parents to what he described as “the crown jewel of Egyptian universities.” He also expressed pride in celebrating a new graduating class from the Faculty of Medicine—graduates who have overcome years of dedication and challenges to reach this well-deserved milestone and begin a new phase of responsibility and service. He extended his gratitude to the Faculty of Medicine for organizing this distinguished ceremony.

The University President emphasized that Kafr El-Sheikh University stands as a source of pride among Egyptian universities, with continuous development and achievements. He highlighted that the Faculty of Medicine is one of the leading faculties at the local, regional, and international levels, having established itself as a prominent scientific institution in the North Delta. This has been achieved through advancing its educational system, enhancing clinical training, and strengthening the role of university hospitals in serving the community, making it a cornerstone in supporting the healthcare system. He also noted the University’s national role in preparing qualified medical professionals capable of meeting the needs of the state and society.

He further stressed the Egyptian state’s commitment—under the leadership of H.E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi—to prioritizing education as a fundamental pillar of the New Republic, in line with Egypt Vision 2030, and to providing graduates with the skills and knowledge required to compete in local, regional, and international job markets.

Addressing the graduates, Prof. Dr. Yahia Eid stated:
"You are graduating at a critical stage in your nation’s history—one that requires a well-trained, aware physician who is devoted to their mission and loyal to their country. Medicine is no longer a traditional profession; it has become a strategic line of defense for Egypt’s health security."

He highlighted the major national healthcare initiatives launched by the Egyptian government, including the elimination of Hepatitis C, the “100 Million Healthy Lives” initiative, early disease detection programs, women’s and maternal health initiatives, and the expansion of the comprehensive health insurance system—emphasizing that their success depends on the dedication, knowledge, and continuous training of Egyptian doctors.

Speaking from the heart, he added:
"Today, you carry the dreams of families who have sacrificed for you, and the hopes of a الوطن that relies on you. A patient will entrust you with their life—expecting knowledge, compassion, and integrity. Remember, a doctor is measured not only by what they know, but by what they feel toward their patients and their الوطن."

He advised graduates to remain connected, uphold the values of their alma mater, and serve as ambassadors of the University and Egypt. He also expressed gratitude to parents for their sacrifices, and to faculty members and administrative staff for their dedication and teamwork in achieving the University’s mission.

At the conclusion of his speech, the University President extended his heartfelt congratulations to the graduates, their families, and faculty members, wishing them continued success and praying that their knowledge and work bring healing and light, while wishing prosperity, security, and stability for Egypt.

The ceremony featured a special presentation by the graduates, recognition of faculty members and top-performing students, and concluded with a commemorative group photo of the sixth cohort of the Faculty of Medicine alongside University leadership and distinguished guests.
