Kafrelsheikh University Advances 213 Places Globally According to Spanish Webometrics Ranking


 The President Prof Dr Abed El-Raziq Desouky confirms that the university’s ranking has risen to 1893 compared to its ranking (2106) last year, out of 11,994 universities worldwide, according to the latest issue for January 2021

As well, Dr Desouky adds that according to the data issued by the ranking, the university ranks No 13 out of 72 Egyptian universities, No 40 within 1216 universities in the Arab World and No 39 among 1907 universities in Africa.

As well, he points out that the ranking this year updates the evaluation criteria and it is approved to measure the performance of universities according to the following: visibility/web contents impact (50%), Transparency/ openness (10%), Top cited papers and Excellence (40%)

It is noteworthy that the Webometrics Rankings of Universities is a semi-annual ranking issued in the months of January and July of each year, and it is specialized in evaluating the electronic production of scientific institutions via their websites. It is subordinate to one of the most important research centers in Spain, the Spanish National Research Council- Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Cientificas (CSIC).
