Within the Cooperation between the University, the Governorate and Ministry of Communications….Faculty of Artificial Intelligence Discuss “E-learning…Opportunities and Threats” in a Seminar


Under the patronage of the President Prof Dr Abed El-Raziq Dosuoki, Faculty of Artificial Intelligence organizes a seminar entitled “E-Learning...Opportunities and Threats” in the presence of the vice president for community service and environment development Prof Dr Reda Salih, the supervisor on Faculty of Artificial Intelligence; Prof Dr Tamer Medhat, the vice dean for education and students’ affairs, staff members and students of first year.

As well, the seminar was attended by Eng Eman El-Mahdi, the director of communication; Eng Madiha Adly, coordinator of engineering projects; Eng Mohammad Basiouni, the director of Training at the Competitive Center for E-Learning; Eng Ahmed Gad, the director of the E-Content Development Unit at the Competitive Center for E-Learning from the Central Administration for Community Development Team - Ministry of Communications.

The symposium deals with explaining the role of e-learning and its advantages of saving time and reducing effort and that learning is not limited to a specific time and place and there are differences in understanding among students, which requires that the lecture be repeated more than once, and this is what e-learning provides. In addition, E-learning is compatible with people with special needs, who find it difficult to travel and move to the place of academic lectures and it is also useful in the event of diseases that prevent students from gathering indoors.

 

Otherwise, the President states that Faculty of Artificial Intelligence represents a unique model and a qualitative shift in the development of study in the field of information technology to use advanced teaching patterns to be established according to the latest international standards via providing them with smart teaching rooms and interactive devices, pointing out that the world is moving rapidly towards benefiting from the science and applications of artificial intelligence, which is one of the most important tools for future jobs and support the efforts of social and economic development and the transition towards a knowledge economy.
