Deans Council Approves the Academic Restructuring for Faculties within Labor Market Variables


Today Tuesday, Deans Council, under the authority of the President Prof Dr Maged el Kemary, approves the academic restructuring for Faculties within labor market variables and global development, in line with the future vision of the university and the State Sustainable Development Plan 2030 and adjusts potential developments in pre-university education, with the goal of helping graduates to find greater career opportunities.

As well, Prof Dr Maged el Kemary mentions that the restructuring plan includes the development of academic plans, educational curricula and teaching and learning patterns, which may include the inclusion or cancellation of academic divisions or programs as well as the transition to electronic examinations within the variables and needs of labor market and keeping pace with future jobs.

He adds that the programmatic restricting and transformation may include programs of Bachelor stage and postgraduate stage while ensuring full flexibility for the development and elimination of specializations according to the actual needs of the society and the labor market and the potential change in future jobs, which necessitates changing names or merging unnecessary departments or programs that are not acceptable to students or avoiding duplication with other faculties, adding new sections and programs, keeping abreast of technological development and communication revolution, in addition to preparing training plans for human cadres, the development of curriculums and courses, and the standardization of similar courses, taking into account that the content design of these courses shall include modernity and provide students with knowledge, skills and experiences that qualify students to work.
