Kafrelsheikh University Ranks No 2 Locally, in Africa, No 4 in the Arab World and No 137 Globally in the Global Classification of Green environment-friendly Universities


The President Prof Dr Maged el Kemary mentions that the university ranks no 2 locally and in Africa at the level of Egyptian Universities and no 4 in the Arab World in the global classification “Green environment-friendly Universities” whose result announced by Indonesia on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 as well as no 137 globally.

As well, el Kemary adds that climatic changes in the world has led many educational institutions to cope up with sustainable development projects which requires that the university should be an environment friendly institution. Indonesia University ranking is the only global ranking that measures the commitment of universities to participate in the development of eco-friendly infrastructure.

King Abdul Aziz University in Saudi Arabia ranks no 1 in the Arab World and no 42 globally while Al- Balqa' Applied University in Jordan ranks no 2 in the Arab World and no 129 globally and American University in Cairo ranks no 3 in the Arab World and no 136 globally.

This classification is based on many standards; the most important of them are education standard, green spaces standard, aesthetic values inside the university and standard of smart facilities, renewable energy and infrastructure of streets and pavements that correspond to the requirements of special needs, educational and research preparations and pay attention to climatic changes researches. It is worth mentioning that Kafrelsheikh University has its own vision "an Egyptian university with global quality standards".
