The President Receives a Delegation of the British Cultural Council


Today, the president Prof Dr Maged el Kemary receives a delegation of The United Kingdom’s international organization for cultural relations and educational opportunities (British Council) to discuss a comprehensive cooperation protocol for conducting International English Language Testing System (IELTS) at Kafrelsheikh University campus for the service of students, professors and community.

This cooperation comes within the university’s policy to spread the culture of communication for the development of the personal characteristics of students according to self-development initiative announced by the president as well as facilitating students from Kafrelsheikh governorate and other governorates rather than traveling to Cairo to reduce the material burden on students and take advantage of holding the exam here, which is the most famous exam in the world.

As well, the delegation includes: Mr Tamer Ismail, head of international examinations department and the vice regional director of British Cultural Council; Mrs Engy Al Nimer, head of IELTS and Mr Khalid el Zoghbi, Business Development Manager for UK qualifications at the British Cultural Council.

The meeting includes a tour to identify the educational and research possibilities and facilities in support of educational process as El Kemary mentions that the protocol includes raising the students and staff members’ efficiency in English language skills in general, helping medical sector students to obtain fellowship of Royal College of Physicians and holding introductory sessions about IELTS and Scholarships provided by British Government such as Chevening and Newton.
