The President participates in the 53rd Session of the General Conference of the Association of Arab Universities

 The President Prof Dr Abedelrazek Desouky participates in the works of the fifty-third hypothetical “online” session of the General Conference of the Association of Arab Universities, which will be hosted by Prince Muhammad bin Fahd University in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for two days, Wednesday and Thursday, 7 to 8 of April, in the presence of Dr Amr Ezzat Salama, the Secretary General of the Association of Arab Universities and the directors, presidents and representatives of Arab universities, members of the Federation's Executive Council.

The sessions deal with reviewing the reports of the Federation’s General Secretariat on approving the minutes of the fifty-two session of the General Conference of the Federation of Arab Universities, which was held at the invitation of Helwan University in Sharm El-Sheikh, Arab Republic of Egypt, in March 2019, and following up on the implementation of its decisions.

During the session, a Power point presentation is discussed on the Arab universities ranking project and the project for documenting and protecting university certificates, a power point presentation on the periodicals platform and another one on the Arab European Network for Training University Leaders, in addition to discussing the sign of an agreement between the Federation and Coursera companies in the Middle East.

 

For his part, Prof Dr Abedelrazek Desouky says that a number of topics were discussed, foremost among them is the Arab Universities Ranking Project, the project for documenting and protecting university certificates, as well as electronic platforms for scientific periodicals, announcing the awards of the Association of Arab Universities, and supporting the activities of the Arab Council for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, in addition to supporting the Federation's Theses Depository Center.
