Kafrelsheikh University is
a governmental university founded in 2006. It lies in Kafrelsheikh
governorate, which lies in the northern part of the country along the western
branch of the Nile Delta. Kafrelsheikh city is about 120 Km2
north of Cairo & 90 Km
of Alexandria. The governorate is characterized by long Sea Shore on the Mediterranean Sea,
where many visitors spend nice time with natural landscape, and a wonderful
sunny weather.
On the other hand, the university
included different faculties with several scientific specialties such as
Agriculture, Veterinary Medicine, Education, Commerce, Engineering, Specific
Education, Arts, Physical Education, Science, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy,
Medicine, Nursing, Dentistry, Aquatic and Fisheries Sciences, Informatics and
Computer Sciences, Faculty of Languages (Alson Faculty). Credit hours-system is followed in some
University Faculties. Also Most of the Faculties offer postgraduate study
programs (Diploma, master & doctorate programs), to meet their highly defined
academic standards, while the rest of Faculties offer only BSc. Programs and in
process to offer post- graduate programs. As part of tireless efforts of the
university towards quality assurance & academic accreditation several labs
were established with the aim of: conducting scientific researches,
experimental studies, diagnostic purposes, as well as for training and
contribution of solving problems of local environmental & community
problems. These labs are fully equipped with state of the art materials and
equipment, and all needed facilities. Moreover, there are two specialized
Institutes i.e Institute of Science & Nanotechnology, Institute of Drug
Discovery & Development (these two Institutes are only present at Kafrelsheikh
University.
On the other hand, the university
have a collaboration with open Education Center in Cairo University where a
bachelor degree of Arts, bachelor of science degrees in commerce, agriculture,
arts are offered in different specific specialty e.g. accounting from faculty
of commerce.
The university hospital is located
within the campus, where all students affiliated to medical sector are taking
their place for training and practice, in addition to other health sectors
within the Governorate. The hospital is serving Kafrelsheikh Governorate &
neighbor Governorates’ citizens and patients. The hospital is equipped with
highly sophisticated equipment & instruments according to the International
standards & State of the Arts for practice, in addition to presence of
highly qualified manpower "medical & nursing staff with high quality
of practice". Our hospital Staff providing the best, safest treatment for
every patient. These professionals have worked tirelessly to improve our
clinical outcomes. The team is working tirelessly with the goal of providing the
safest quality care , while our
researchers bring new hope to patients through discoveries, new therapies, and
cures. The students' hospital is also located within the campus for helping
students who are need of medical help. In addition, there are specialized
programs including all facilities and aids for those students with special
needs. For international students teaching Arabic classes as well as
accommodation facilities are offered;there is an Arabic Language Center for
non-native speakers.
Furthermore, the university has an
exciting campus life including location, setting, weather, students housing,
green areas, wide roads, campus security, activities events, and students
