Seminar
entitled "Intellectual Property Rights" was held on 30 May 2011 in
cooperation with Academic of Scientific Research (Egyptian patent office) under
the authority of Kafrelsheikh University President Prof Dr Fawzi Turk in the
presence of the deans, professors and students.
Dr
Fawzi Turk, the previous Kafrelsheikh University President, assures the
importance of patent office in the academy to benefit from patents of employees
at research centers and universities.
The
vice president for post-graduation studies Dr Ibrahim Mohamed Amman adds that
the role of patent offices in protecting patents is distinguished role to
benefit from the results of their researches and not to offer the opportunity
for hackers and scammers to robbery on their scientific efforts. As well, point
of contact in university will be established in cooperation with Academy of
Scientific Research to provide services for researchers and make them aware of
the need to get a deposit number from potent office in Academy and spread the
awareness among staff members about intellectual property and the ways of
protection.
