The President Prof Dr Maged el Kemary meets with staff
members of the Faculty of Agriculture in serious of meetings to discuss the
role of university in the leadership of the change system in the next phase which prevailed in Egypt,
dubbed the phase of reward and punishment
as it is phase full of work and effort on all levels of state as well as
discuss the role of university in its concern with values??, ethics and change of cultures, bad habits and behaviors and the trend towards
construction and optimize potential and human resources and employ them and
convert them to positive meaningful work.
He also added that the triangle of problems of the
society represented in the food, health, education so, it is possible for the
Faculty of Agriculture to take over the role of the two sides of the triangle
in solving the problem of food and education through the development of courses
and curriculum and plans for research aimed at developing agriculture and
benefit from the experiences of countries such as Spain and Greece in
agricultural development as well as Saudi Arabia. Despite the desert terrain
and the lack of fresh water, but it was able to succeed in some agricultural
experiments through harnessing science in agriculture.
He said that universities are the most important
refuge for countries in good times and bad, especially if state is exposed to
economic or social crisis of or in any field, it should resort to the minds of
universities to search for solutions to their atypical problems.
Also, he recommends that it is necessary to exploit
part of university farm in applied researches and benefit from it in product
bears the name of the Faculty of Agriculture as well as encourage and motivate
the young scientists to build a second row of research cadres and pay attention
to create research teams whose aim is the transition from the researches of
simulation and tradition to the researches of application by using creative,
innovative style as well as benefiting from advanced universities in transfer
technology.
As well, he pointed out that the campaign of
distortions which the university and its leadership are exposed are driven from
who has personal interests and assures that the procedures of university are
done through institutional business by activating the role of departments and faculties'
departments, then, university council with a commitment to university
regulation law.
