Visit of a delegation from Kyushu University in Japan to Kafrelsheikh University on Wednesday; 10-3-2010

Kyushu University was selected from other thirteen Japanese universities that are all qualified to activate the (G30) Project, funded by (MEXT) Ministry that aims at globalizing some Japanese universities. Kyushu University is going to provide English language grants to five bachelor stages in the different majors in Agricultural and Engineering Sciences by April 2012, in addition to other 48 post graduate studies programs in the other different fields.

To face such a need, Kyushu University has constructed the International Student and Researcher Support Center that is expected to provide the different services once students arrive to the airport, besides helping them find out a hostile for accommodation, in addition to academic support and finding a job after graduation.

Regarding the program, the university has constructed an office in Cairo that launched its services on 11 February 2010. Though the office will run under the supervision of Kyushu University, it will provide the different available services to any other university that accept Egyptian students. Kyushu University wishes to increase the number of foreign students studying there through this program to 3900 in the next ten years, which means a ratio of 300% more than that of the available number nowadays. The university also constructed the primary infrastructure of a new college that is entitled permanently as "The International School of Arts and Sciences", which is expected to start working by 2020.

To enable others recognize this program, Prof. Katsumi Doi; professor in faculty of Agriculture and Mrs MiZuki Sato; the responsible for external and foreign relations in the office of (G30) in Kyushu University in Japan have visited Kafrelsheikh University on 10 March 2010 and holding a meeting on at The Information Technology and development Centre in the university. Undergraduate students and post graduate studies students have attended the meeting for the purpose of recognizing Kyushu University and study system there besides how to gain a grant to resume master and PhD degrees through the international grants provided by the university there.
