Mission:

 

Promote a culture of development and implementation of follow-up projects within the University of Kafr El-Sheikh and the preparation of electronic data and document authentication Documentary beside each project from the beginning of its implementation and periodic reports to him and as well as all the implementation departments ( Admin - Finance - Procurement and Information Systems).

 

Main objectives and tasks of the Unit:

 

- Enable the University to achieve its mission and purpose of the strategy through studies and projects for the assessment of performance and improve the quality of the educational process and application for accreditation.

- Maximizing the use of the university colleges of the projects provided by the bodies and national and international organizations to develop and modernize higher education .

- Promote linkage and coordination between the university and colleges on the one hand and higher for the management of development projects of higher education on the national level, including the other hand, contributes to activate its role in the follow-up assessment and support various projects for the University Development .

- Develop the capacity of the university and colleges in identifying areas of development and activate the role of the university in achieving development goals.

- Upgrading the quality of development projects of higher education provided by colleges and institutes of the university through participation in their preparation and to ensure compliance with the principles and standards adopted by the supporters and funders of these projects on the national level and international.

- Facilitate open channels of communication between the University and agencies and relevant professional bodies locally and internationally and take advantage of to develop the potential and capabilities of the university in the fields of education, scientific research, community development and the environment.

- Maintaining constant interaction with stakeholders and supporting bodies and funded development projects and modernization of higher education locally and internationally, to bring the projects that can contribute to the development of university performance and achieve its mission and goals of the university in a perfect way, locally and internationally.

- Follow-up development projects in all stages from the beginning of its progress through implementation to completion and to develop continuity plans and have overcome obstacles in any of these stages.

- Providing continued support for development units in colleges through education, training and follow-up.
- Preparation of regulations and strategy for the development and continuous updating it in accordance with developments in higher education modernization policies.

- Follow-up technical and financial performance of development projects and prepare a periodic report on the progress of development projects and how to achieve development goals for the university.

- Promote a culture of development through media awareness about various development activities and projects through the holding of meetings, seminars and workshops and the work of posters, booklets, brochures and others.

- Broaden the base of the participating members of the faculty and their collaborators in the development projects.

- Measurement and analysis of the impact of various development projects on the development of academic performance, the University's institutional.
 
 

The university's development projects

Project management unit development of The University(UPMU) has been established by the decision of Mr. Rector Prof No.( 20 )by the date 8/8/2006. The University has allocated and established a modern building to house all the university's development projects.

 

Contracts were signed with the Project Management Unit of the Supreme Council of Universities to implement a number of projects in phases( 2002-2008),( 2008-2012).

The first phase (2002-2008):
  • Been contracted to implement a number of twelve projects the university, namely:

1-Quality Assurance and Accreditation Project (QAAP1).
Includes three axes:

  1. Quality Assurance Center (QAC).
  2. University strategic plan (SPU).
  3. Internal quality assurance system of four Faculties, namely:
  • Faculty of Agriculture
  • Faculty of Arts
  • Faculty of Engineering
  • Faculty of Commerce

2-Information &Communication Technology project (ICTP).
Includes three axes:

  1. Infrastructure of the Information Network (IS).
  2. Management Information Systems (MIS).
  3. E-learning (ELC).
  4. Digital Library (EULC).
  5. Information &Communication Technology Training (ICTT).
3-Faculty leadership development project (FLDP).
 

Each of these projects had a vision and a specific mission engaged team to each project under the supervision of the Prof.President of the University and Prof. Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research and Prof.Executive Director of the development projects to achieve these goals.
It was the work of many workshops, seminars and conferences in the framework of education and media projects, development and training on writing competitive enterprises and other, which had a great impact in:

  • Many achievements during the two and a half years since the establishment of the university.

 

As a complement to the university's development system has been contracted with the Project Management Unit of the Supreme Council of Universities to implement a number of projects in the second phase of the development of higher education system.

 
The second phase (2008-2012):

Been contracted to implement the following projects:

1- Quality Assurance and Accreditation Project (QAAP2).
To establish Internal quality assurance system of four Faculties, namely:

  • Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
  • Faculty of Education.
  • Faculty of Specific Education.
  • Faculty of Physical Education.



2-Information &Communication Technology project (ICTP).

Includes seven axes:

  1. Infrastructure of the Information Network (IS).
  2. Management Information Systems (MIS).
  3. E-learning (ELC).
  4. Digital Library and the completion of standard indexes (EULC).
  5. Information &Communication Technology Training (ICTT).
  6. Portal
  7. digital scientific Thesis project.

3-labs certification Project.

  1. Central lab of the University.
  2. Nutrition and feed lab, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine

The University participated in the workshops of the Supreme Council of Universities for the training of trainers about how to apply for projects competitive by the second phase of system development that 7 trainers of the university have been, to maximizing the use of those whom trained, the unit organized a workshop university under the auspices of Prof. President of the University and Prof.Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research and the presence of both deans and deputy scientific departments in universities.

 

Thus, the number of projects contracted by the university to implement 13 projects with a total budget 8.808.000 pounds.
 
Teams work of these projects, guidance of Prof. President of the University and Prof. Vice President for Higher Studies and Research, Prof. Executive director of the development projects on the implementation and achievement of goals and main tasks of this stage projects to complement what has been achieved in the first phase.
