Prof. Yahya Zakaria Eid, President of Kafrelsheikh University, participates in his academic capacity as Professor of Poultry Physiology in the discussion and judging committee of the first specialized Master's thesis on pigeon production at the Faculty of Agriculture, Sohag University.
The thesis, presented by the researcher Mahmoud Sharaf Ahmed, a Teaching Assistant in the Poultry Production Department at the Faculty of Agriculture, Sohag University, is titled:
“Using Some Modern Treatments to Improve Pigeon Productivity under the Climatic Conditions of Upper Egypt.”
This study is considered one of the specialized scientific researches addressing an important applied field in the poultry production sector.
During the meeting, Prof. Yahya Zakaria Eid expresses his sincere thanks and appreciation to the President of Sohag University for the warm reception and hospitality. He expresses his pride in participating in the discussion of this distinguished scientific thesis, which is the first of its kind at the Faculty of Agriculture in the field of pigeon production.
The President affirms that the thesis topic holds significant scientific and applied importance, as it supports small-scale breeders and improves pigeon productivity under varying climatic conditions. This contributes to providing affordable, high-productivity sources of animal protein. He notes that such applied research aligns with the state’s directions toward supporting food security and achieving sustainable development goals.
Prof. Hasan Al-Nomani, President of Sohag University, expresses his pleasure at hosting Prof. Yahya Zakaria Eid. He praises his prominent scientific standing and distinguished academic expertise in poultry physiology, confirming that the participation of specialized scholars and experts in discussion and judging committees enriches scientific research and enhances the quality of academic theses while ensuring the highest standards of integrity and scientific accuracy.
Prof. Zainhom Shekhon, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture at Sohag University, states that the discussion and judging committee decides to award the researcher the Master’s degree in Poultry Production with merit.
On the sidelines of the visit, Prof. Yahya Zakaria Eid tours several modern educational and administrative buildings at Sohag University, as well as Sohag Ahlia University. He reviews the expansions and developments in infrastructure and modern equipment at both universities. He praises the Egyptian state’s efforts in supporting and developing the higher education system and providing an integrated educational environment that meets modern standards and the requirements of the educational and research process.
The visit also confirms the importance of academic and scientific cooperation between Egyptian universities and the exchange of scientific and research expertise, which contributes to advancing the higher education and scientific research system in Egypt.
