Prof. Yahya Zakaria Eid, President of Kafrelsheikh University, participates in the periodic meeting of the Supreme Council of Universities. It is held at the Ministry’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital.
The President explains that the Council confirms the need for universities and institutes to be fully prepared for the second semester exams. This includes announcing exam schedules at an appropriate time, ensuring the smooth conduct of examinations, and providing a suitable environment for students. He confirms that Kafrelsheikh University has taken all necessary measures to ensure the proper conduct of the examination process according to the highest standards of quality and discipline.
Prof. Yahya Eid highlights the importance of the Minister of Higher Education’s directives regarding rationalizing energy consumption within universities and enhancing its efficiency. He affirms that Kafrelsheikh University continues to implement its plans in this regard, while promoting a culture of rational energy use among students and staff, in line with the state’s directions to address global challenges.
He adds that the Council also discusses strengthening cooperation between universities and state institutions, particularly the Ministry of Health and Population. This cooperation aims to provide distinguished health services through university hospitals and support efforts to develop population awareness among citizens. He pointed to the active societal role played by Kafrelsheikh University in this field through medical caravans and awareness activities.
The President appreciates the unprecedented scientific achievements reviewed by the Council, most notably the publication of the results of the largest study on the complete genetic sequencing of Egyptians. He confirms that this achievement represents a qualitative leap in scientific research and strengthens Egypt’s position on the global scientific research map.
Prof. Yahya Eid also welcomes the announcement by the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) regarding the registration of several Egyptian heritage sites on the Islamic World Heritage List. He confirms that this reflects the depth of Egyptian civilization and its cultural and historical status.
He notes that the Council follows up several important files, including developing the performance of faculty member capacity-building centers, accelerating digital transformation and automation within universities, and supporting international relations and partnerships with prestigious global universities.
Prof. Yahya Zakaria Eid affirms that Kafrelsheikh University continues to implement the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and works on developing its educational and research systems. This contributes to preparing qualified cadres capable of competition and supporting the state’s efforts to achieve comprehensive development and Egypt’s future vision.
