During the meeting, Prof. Yahya Eid, the President, affirms that the Medical City project represents a major qualitative leap in the level of healthcare, treatment services, and medical education. Prof. Yahya Eid explains that the Emergency Hospital is one of the most important components of the project due to its vital role in dealing immediately with critical cases and accidents. He confirms that it will be equipped with the latest medical devices, operating rooms, and intensive care units to ensure rapid response and life-saving according to the highest medical standards.

The President adds that the Oncology Hospital constitutes a strong strategic addition, as it will help alleviate the burden on patients and provide integrated diagnostic and therapeutic services for cancer patients within Kafrelsheikh Governorate, instead of them having to travel to other governorates. He notes that the state pays great attention to the oncology treatment file and provides full support for it.

Regarding the Outpatient Clinics Building, Prof. Yahya Eid affirms that it will create a significant leap in the level of daily medical services by accommodating larger numbers of patients and providing fast and organized diagnostic and therapeutic services, which will reduce waiting times and improve the patient experience within university hospitals.

Otherwise, Major General Essam Galal, Chairman of the National Company, expresses his appreciation for the fruitful cooperation with Kafrelsheikh University. He affirms that the company places this project among its top priorities due to its strategic importance in supporting the health sector. He confirms the company’s full commitment to implementing all works according to the approved technical and engineering specifications and in line with the latest international standards.

During the meeting, periodic follow-up reports and achievement rates for the various components of the project are reviewed, and mechanisms to accelerate the pace of work in the coming phase are discussed, with a focus on operational readiness and integration between the different medical facilities within the Medical City.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides affirm the continuation of coordination and joint cooperation, along with intensifying field visits to work sites. This will ensure the project is completed on schedule to become a fully integrated medical edifice serving the people of Kafrelsheikh Governorate and the Delta region, while enhancing the university’s position as a leading center in medical education and healthcare services.
