The Launch of the First Science Exhibition at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Kafrelsheikh Ahlia University

11/4/2026

Prof. Yahya Eid, President of Kafrelsheikh University and Acting President of Kafrelsheikh Ahlia University, attends the activities of the First Science Exhibition organized by the Faculty of Pharmacy. The exhibition showcases the applied outputs of student activities for first-year students.

In his speech, Prof. Yahya Eid expresses his delight at organizing this distinguished scientific event. He affirms that the university is keen to support applied student activities that develop innovation and scientific thinking skills from the early stages of study. He notes that organizing a science exhibition in this manner reflects the university’s direction toward developing teaching methods, moving away from traditional rote learning to understanding-based and application-based learning.

The President adds that Kafrelsheikh Ahlia University is working to prepare a generation of graduates who can link theoretical knowledge with practical application, in line with labor market requirements, especially in vital sectors such as healthcare and pharmaceuticals. He confirms that such events provide a real environment for refining students’ skills in scientific presentation, communication, and teamwork.

While touring the exhibition booths, the President commends the diversity and excellence of the displayed projects. He confirms that these activities demonstrate the faculty’s success in linking theoretical study with practical application and developing students’ analytical and innovative thinking skills from the early stages. He adds that the university pays great attention to preparing graduates capable of understanding real-world problems and offering innovative scientific solutions. He describes the exhibition as an effective model of project-based learning, where the student goes through stages of understanding the scientific theory, simplifying it, and finally transforming it into a displayable and evaluable model or experiment.

Otherwise, Prof. Ali Abu Shousha, Vice President for Academic Affairs, affirms that the university supports the development of modern teaching methods based on active learning. He confirms the university’s keenness to qualify students with skills in scientific presentation, effective communication, and teamwork — essential pillars for preparing pharmacists capable of competing and keeping pace with developments in the health sector. He adds that students’ participation in such events directly enhances their academic and professional readiness.

Prof. Ramadan El-Domany, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Program Director, explains that the exhibition represents a practical translation of the faculty’s vision to develop the educational process by integrating theoretical and practical aspects from the first academic years. He confirms that the faculty designs this event as a comprehensive educational experience that begins with establishing basic scientific concepts, then simplifying them through innovative methods, and finally transforming them into models and practical experiments that can be presented and evaluated according to precise scientific standards.

Prof. Abdelaziz El-Sayed El-Ashmawy, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs and Chairman of the Judging Committee, states that project evaluation is conducted according to accurate and objective scientific criteria, including the quality of scientific content, clarity of the idea, level of innovation, and students’ ability to present and communicate. He notes that the diversity of activities — ranging from maquettes and posters to interactive displays — reflects the great effort exerted by the students and confirms the success of the experiment in achieving its educational goals. He highlights that the level of the presented work reflects remarkable development in the skills of first-year students.

Dr. Abd Allah El-Gazzar, Pharmacy Program Coordinator and Academic Advisor, indicates that the exhibition reflects the program’s philosophy of transforming the student from a receiver of knowledge into a producer of it. This is achieved by training them to simplify pharmaceutical sciences and link them to real-life applications, which is clearly evident in the quality and diversity of the presented projects. The event receives widespread praise from attendees for its scientific and organizational excellence.
