Prof. Yahya Eid, President of Kafrelsheikh University, attends the graduation ceremony of the sixth class of students from the Faculty of Medicine, held at the university’s Conference Hall Theater.
In his speech, Prof. Yahya Eid, President of the University, expresses his pleasure and honor, on behalf of the Kafrelsheikh University family, in welcoming the distinguished guests and parents to “the jewel in the crown of Egyptian universities,” Kafrelsheikh University. He states that it is a great honor to stand among them on this proud occasion to celebrate the graduation of a new class of students from the Faculty of Medicine—a class that has overcome years of hard work and challenges to reach this moment of achievement and begin a new phase of responsibility and contribution. He extends thanks to the Faculty of Medicine family for organizing this gracious ceremony to celebrate the graduation of a new batch of students.
He affirms that the university is a source of pride for all Egyptian universities, with new developments occurring every day. The Faculty of Medicine is one of the leading faculties at the local, regional, and international levels. He notes that the Faculty of Medicine at the university has truly become a pioneering scientific edifice in the northern Delta region and has established its position among Egyptian medical faculties through the development of its educational system, enhancement of clinical training, and strengthening the role of university hospitals in serving the local community. This has made it a fundamental pillar in supporting the regional healthcare system. The university has played a significant national role in preparing medical cadres capable of meeting the needs of the state and society and actively participating in various health efforts, reflecting the state’s vision of empowering regional universities to be key partners in development.
Addressing the graduates directly, the University President says: “You are graduating today at a pivotal moment in your nation’s history—a stage that requires a conscious, well-trained physician who believes in their mission and is loyal to their country. Medicine is no longer just a traditional profession; it has become a strategic line of defense for Egypt’s health security. Under the leadership of the President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the Egyptian state has launched numerous major national health initiatives that serve as a global model in healthcare, such as the initiative to eliminate Hepatitis C, the ‘100 Million Healthy Lives’ campaign, early detection initiatives for chronic diseases and tumors, women’s health initiatives, maternal and child health programs, and the expansion of comprehensive health insurance. These initiatives will only succeed through the efforts of Egyptian physicians—through your minds, your knowledge, and your commitment to continuous training and adherence to the highest scientific and professional standards. Continuing medical education is no longer an option but a national necessity, driven by the rapid pace of scientific advancement and reinforced by the state’s vision to build an Egyptian physician capable of competing regionally and internationally and leading Egypt’s health future.”
Continuing his heartfelt address to the graduates, Dr. Yahya Eid says: “Today, you carry the dreams of families who stayed up late, worked hard, and sacrificed. You also carry the hopes of a nation that relies heavily on you. A patient will stand before you, placing their life in your hands, expecting knowledge, compassion, and a living conscience. Always remember that a physician is measured not only by what they know but by what they feel toward their patient and their country. Be a source of pride for Kafrelsheikh University and an honorable representative of the Egyptian physician. Never forget that every success you achieve is a success for your nation, and every patient you save is a step toward building a strong, modern Egypt. Under the sustainable development strategy of Egypt Vision 2030, the state is betting on your generation to be the generation of construction, knowledge, and protection of Egyptian health, under conscious political leadership that believes the true investment is in people.”
The President urges the graduates to serve as ambassadors of the university to the world and society and to remain loyal sons and daughters of this beloved nation, Egypt. He extends thanks and appreciation to the parents who spare no effort or expense to bring their children to this day. He also thanks staff members, administrative staff, and workers of the Faculty of Medicine for their team spirit in achieving the university’s goals and mission. He congratulates the graduating students, who had reaped the fruits of their efforts during their studies, and urges them to maintain bridges of communication among themselves, as they are the hope of the present and the future.
