The President attends Scientific Day Activities of the Nephrology Unit at the Faculty of Medicine

Prof. Yahya Eid, President of the University, attends the Scientific Day organized by the Nephrology Unit of the Department of General Internal Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine. The event is held entitled “CKD Updates” and focuses on discussing the latest international scientific guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD), along with the most recent treatment protocols and modern techniques.

Prof. Yahya Eid, President of the University, affirms that organizing this Scientific Day aligns with the political directives of the President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, which place the development of higher education and healthcare systems at the top of the Egyptian state’s priorities. This is achieved through supporting advanced medical education, updating academic programs, and improving the quality of healthcare services provided to citizens.

He confirms that the university is working to align its educational and research plans with the objectives of Egypt Vision 2030 by preparing qualified medical cadres, promoting innovation in the health sector, and supporting scientific and medical initiatives aimed at advancing healthcare services and achieving sustainable development across various sectors.

The President explains that the university attaches great importance to developing medical sector faculties, supporting applied scientific research, and encouraging the holding of specialized scientific conferences and seminars. These activities facilitate the transfer of the latest scientific expertise, keep pace with the rapid developments in medical sciences, and directly contribute to improving the level of healthcare services, raising physicians’ efficiency, and achieving the highest standards of safety and quality in medical care delivery.

He adds that the Scientific Day of the Nephrology Unit represents a model of integration between education, scientific research, and community service. It underscores the university’s commitment to strengthening scientific cooperation with major Egyptian universities and benefiting from national expertise in managing chronic diseases—particularly chronic kidney disease, which is considered one of the significant health challenges.

Otherwise, Prof. Ismail Ismail Ibrahim, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, states that such specialized scientific events reflect the distinguished academic standing of the Faculty of Medicine at Kafrelsheikh University. They contribute to supporting continuing medical education and developing the clinical skills of physicians. He confirms the importance of continuing scientific cooperation among Egyptian universities.

Prof. Amany Mohamed Shaker, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, affirms that the Scientific Day falls within the university’s community role and links scientific research to priority health issues, especially chronic diseases. She praises the efforts of the Faculty of Medicine in organizing specialized scientific events that serve the local and regional community.

In his speech, Prof. Taha Ismail, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, expresses his pride in organizing the Scientific Day of the Nephrology Unit. He confirms the faculty’s commitment to keeping pace with the latest global treatment protocols and providing scientific programs that enhance physicians’ efficiency and improve the level of healthcare.

 

Dr. Medhat Ghazi, Head of the Department of General Internal Medicine and head of the Scientific Day, points out that the event’s activities include discussions on the latest international recommendations for diagnosing and treating patients with chronic kidney disease, as well as the most up-to-date diagnostic and therapeutic methods. He confirms that the participation of a select group of professors from Egyptian universities added significant scientific value and enriched the scientific discussions.
