Visit of delegation of the Egyptian Society for aquaculture

Dr. Maged El Kemary, President of the University of Kafr El-Sheikh received a delegation of theEgyptian   Society   for   aquaculture   on   Wednesday,  The  delegation   included   Dr. Ahmed  Zaki,Director of Technical Services fish sector Screeting Egypt and Dr. Sharif Shams El Dein Sadiqdirector of a consulting firm for fish farms and Dr. Mohamed Fathy Mohamed Othman, head ofthe Agricultural Research Center and the General Authority for Fish Resources Developmentand Dr. Samir Ghoneim, former Dean of the Faculty of ecological agriculture in Arish, SuezCanal   University,   to   study   possible   areas   of   cooperation   with   the   Faculty   of   Aquatic   andFisheries Science, to develop aquaculture sector in  Kafr El-Sheikh governorate.The two sides agreed to hold a seminar on the development of fish farming practices, so as tocorrect some of the misconceptions in farming, it has been discussed also to take advantage ofthe delegation's experience in establishing an educational Fish feed factory at Faculty of Aquaticand Fisheries Science Fisheries,  whether   growing  stages   or   fry  as  well   as  specific  feed  toimprove fish resistance to some diseases, teaching the students some of the skills required bythe labor market.The Delegation agreed on the proposal of the university president to prepare a memorandum ofcooperation to train students at fish feed factories and private company availability of jobs forgood candidates from them, and also approved the proposal of the president of the university inproviding technical support for the establishment of a shrimp hatchery at the faculty premisesfaculty   graduates   to   transfer   modern   technologies   in   the   fields   of   aquaculture   and   fishprocessing, provide technical advice and guidance to workers in this field in the governorate ofKafr el-Sheikh and neighboring provinces, ensuring a good environment for the production offish in a healthy and safe environment.The Kafr El-Sheikh produces about 40% of fish production on the level of Egypt
