The Opening of Seminar "Types of Fish Hatcheries"

It is well known that Kafrelsheikh governorate is characterized by the first position in terms of fish production at the level of Arab Republic of Egypt and the Faculty of Fisheries is one of the most important faculties that contribute to create scientific climate to promote the transfer of modern technology for fish farms in the governorate and from the role of Kafrelsheikh University in participating communities in transferring multiple experts in various fields.

Kafrelsheikh University holds the events of seminar "types of fish hatcheries" under the authority of the president Prof Dr Maged el Kemary within the project of student participation in the faculty and their rehabilitation to meet the needs of labor market.

The opening of the seminar has attended by the vice president for education and students' affairs on behalf of the president Prof Dr Maged el Kemaryas well as the vice president for community service and environment development Prof Dr Ali Abu Shosha; the dean of the Faculty of Agriculture Dr Atef Salim and Dr Malik Khalaf Allah, the seminar rapporteur.

As well, Prof Dr Mohamed Abu Walli, the supervisor over the Faculty of Fisheries and the project head, delivers a speech on the importance of development of aquaculture and fisheries which is one of the most important natural resources and national income, working on the transfer of aquaculture technology and the fishing industry to improve the characteristics of production to achieve more opportunity than economic and social benefits.

Dr Ali Abu Shoshaa said that university is keen to hold workshops and seminars to achieve development in various fields to serve community

The first scientific session discusses the reasons of establishing fish farms and the most important reasons is the need to culture luxury types of fishes to provide currency as well as increase the demand for fishes as part of covering the needs of community needs of protein and diminishing the fish stocks as result of pollution and wrong ways of fishing.
