African Fish Breeders on a Visit to Kafrelsheikh University to Learn about the Latest Methods and Systems of Aquatic Farming

Today Monday, the president Prof Dr Maged el Kemary meets a delegation from fourteen African Countries and officials from Egyptian International Centre for Agriculture subordinate to Foreign Affairs at the Egyptian Ministry of Agriculture, in cooperation with Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) as a funding authority to benefit from experiences of Kafrelsheikh University in addition to enhance the ways of cooperation in the field of aquatic and agricultural farming and to learn about the latest developments and scientific methods in this field.

The visit begins with a tour at the labs of Faculty of Fisheries, fish packing and packaging factory, water treatment unit as well as fish feed factory at the faculty. The visitors express their admiration of the techniques in the university and their happiness to transfer these experiences to their countries and benefit from what they have seen at Kafrelsheikh University in their farms in various African counties. From his part, el Kemary expressed the readiness of university to provide all means of support and scientific and academic help in different fields from which these countries can benefit to achieve comprehensive and sustainable development in the animal and aquatic field in Africa in general. He also welcomed the project of signing several agreements with scientific and service authorities in these countries.
