Under the auspices of professor Elkemary, president of the university, the science week, held by the faculty of pharmacy (12-15 March ) came to the finals simultaneously with the science week in Egypt under the supervision of the Scientific  Research  Academy .

Elkemary stated that the university hosted more than 400 citizens, in addition to students from five schools from Kafrelsheikh and Gharbia.

The week dealt with simplifying science in all walks of life for enhancing the role of the university in serving the community. Students paid visits to the educational pharmaceutical factory in the faculty of pharmacy where they listened to explanations of how to manufacture medicines. They also visited the various laboratories. Besides, they met with staff of the faculty of pharmacy. They met with prof. Ramadan Aldomany , the dean, and the staff of the National Authority of Quality Assurance and Accreditation.  This was in context of community service and environmental development under the supervision of Prof Ali Abushousha, Vice President for community service and environmental development. This is considered a renaissance of the science club headed by the university president.
