A Delegation from the Ministry of Fisheries and Maritime Economy of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania on a Visit to Kafrelsheikh University

The president Prof Dr Maged el Kemary receives today Tuesday 22/5/2017 a delegation from the Ministry of Fisheries and Maritime Economy of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania under the authority of Mrs Khadija Bint Boucha, the Secretary-General of the Ministry to search the ways of cooperation between the university and the Ministry of Fisheries and Maritime Economy to implement what is signed in cooperation contract between Arab Republic of Egypt and the Republic of Mauritania in the field of fish aquaculture and fish processing.

They has agreed to provide some scholarships for Mauritanian students to study in the University for Master’s Degree and Doctorate as well as train some Mauritanian students in the university and within Mauritania in the field of fisheries. 

Mrs Khadija Bint Boucha, the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Fisheries and Maritime Economy, mentions that the annual stock of surface fish reach 1.3 million tons, pointing out that her country seeks to preserve and sustain its fisheries.

As well, she expresses her happiness within the university and praises on the Faculty of Fisheries and research labs especially feed fish factory and fish preservation and manufacturing factory to help to achieve maximum benefit for trainees in all fields of fisheries whether in aquaculture or fish processing.

On the other hand, Prof Dr Maged el Kemary points out that the university is ready to provide all means of support through education, training, researches and consultations in Mauritania to achieve the maximum benefit in this field.
