Supreme Council of Universities approved time map for the new year; 28 September is the start of the study .. and the first semester exams are on 16 January

Supreme Council of Universities chaired by Dr./ Ashraf al-Shehhi - Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, approved at its meeting yesterday the adoption of the map of time for the new academic year that the first term to begin from 28 September to next 14 January, and to hold the first semester exams in the period from 16 Saturday until Thursday, 28 January, and leave half of the year, 30 January until next 11 February.

The second semester begins 13 February and ends next 2 June, and the complexity of the year-end exams in the period from 4 June until 30 June.

The Council discussed preparations for universities to start the New Year next Monday; the Council stressed the need for the completion of the transfers between colleges, and the declaration of class schedules, and housed students' halls, with the provision of means of insurance necessary for universities before the beginning of the year.

The minister stressed the importance of achieving the discipline of the educational process in the universities since the first day of the study, and looked forward to a new year university realized where all the educational process targets will not allow one to disrupt the educational process, and that the exit of any person on the norms and university traditions will be forwarded to destinations investigation.

Al-Shehhi called university presidents to the need to activate communication with the students and the speed of solving problems they may face, and attention to the level of services provided to students in university towns and sponsored by students with disabilities and emphasized that the integration of the ministries of higher education with scientific research is a good thing, and will lead to the strengthening of human resources in universities, and strengthen the system of scientific research.

The Council heard a report submitted by Dr./ Majid El-Kamary - President of Kafr el-Sheikh University and head of the committee preparing the new Higher Education law.

The Council reviewed the report submitted by the Committee of specific education and home economics sector in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Solidarity and the National Council on Disability and Assembly eligibility for disability, and the Council agreed on the enrollment of students from the deaf and hearing impaired who obtained a diploma in deaf schools, hearing impaired faculties of specific education universities (Cairo, Ain Shams, and Helwan, Fayoum, and Alexandria, and Zagazig, and Port Said and Kafr El-Sheikh, Assiut, and Damietta, and Banha).

The Council also approved the adoption of certificates because of technical students and students excelling schools of Science and Technology students and certificates of Arab and foreign equation for the academic year of the new format.

With regard to the people of the provinces of students distribution (South Sinai, North Sinai, Red Sea, Marsa Matrouh, and theNew Valley) beneficiaries of the Supreme Council of Universities decision, dated 16\8\2015 on the reduction of the minimum advertised by 5% For the children of remote areas, the Council agreed with regard to the people of the provinces of North and South Sinai on students who wish to enroll in the faculties of medicine at the medical schools at universities) the Suez Canal, distribution, and Port Said, and Zagazig (and the distribution of students who wish to enroll in colleges of Pharmacy and Dentistry at all colleges of pharmacy, dentistry Egyptian universities and the distribution of students who wish to enroll in the rest of the colleges to universities) Suez Canal, Port Said and Suez), and the distribution of students who wish to enroll in a unique colleges in accordance with the rules of the regional distribution of these colleges.

For the sons of the Red Sea Governorate Council approved the students who wish to distribute to join the faculties of medicine, pharmacy, dentistry and engineering at these colleges universities (South Valley, Sohag, Assiut, Minya Beni Suef, and Suez, Ain Shams and Helwan) and the distribution of students who wish to enroll in the rest of the colleges to universities (South Valley, Suez Canal, Helwan and Ain Shams) and the distribution of students who wish to enroll in a unique colleges in accordance with the rules of the regional distribution of these colleges. For the people of Marsa Matrouh Governorate Council approved the students who wish to distribute to attend different colleges on these faculties at the University of Alexandria and the distribution of students who wish to enroll in a unique colleges in accordance with the rules of the regional distribution of these colleges.

The sons of New Valley Governorate Council has agreed to the students who wish to enroll in the various colleges on these faculties at the University of Assiut distribution, students who wish to enroll in colleges and unique distribution in accordance with the rules of the regional distribution of these colleges.
