Kafrelsheikh University will host an international workshop on "Nanotechnology and its Applications in Optoelectronic and Biological Fields," in collaboration with China's Soochow University, next Mon

5/10/2026

 Under the patronage of Dr. Yahya Zakaria Eid, University President; Dr. Ismail Ismail Ibrahim, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research; and Dr. Abdel-Hamid Abdel-Rahim Al-Shaer, Dean of the Faculty of Science;

And within the framework of joint research cooperation between Kafrelsheikh University and the Chinese side—represented by Soochow University—under research project No. (49364) titled:

"Highly Stable and Luminescent Ceramic Nanocrystals for Use in Silicon Solar Cells to Enhance Short-Wavelength Utilization,"

The Faculty of Science is organizing a scientific workshop titled:

"Nanotechnology for Optoelectronic and Biological Applications"

The event will take place on Monday, October 5, 2026, at 11:00 AM in the Faculty of Science seminar hall.

This workshop reflects the university's commitment to supporting international cooperation in scientific research, fostering scientific and knowledge exchange among researchers, and highlighting modern applications of nanotechnology—a promising scientific field with a growing impact across various vital sectors.

A distinguished group of professors from Kafrelsheikh University will participate in the workshop by delivering specialized lectures on nanotechnology and its diverse applications in optoelectronic and biological fields. The speakers include Dr. Abdel-Hamid Abdel-Rahim Al-Shaer (Dean of the Faculty of Science), Dr. Enas El-Gendy (Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry), Dr. Mohamed El-Ghannam (Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine), and Dr. Mahmoud Shams El-Din (Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Faculty of Artificial Intelligence). The workshop program includes presentations of scientific papers and research by students and graduates of the Science and Technology program. These presentations address topics aligned with the workshop’s themes and nanotechnology applications, alongside a review of research previously published in high-impact, peer-reviewed international scientific journals.

Kafrelsheikh University emphasized that organizing this workshop reflects its commitment to supporting applied scientific research, encouraging students and graduates to engage in cutting-edge research projects, and expanding international cooperation. These efforts aim to cultivate a generation of researchers capable of keeping pace with rapid scientific and technological advancements.
