Dr. Yahya Zakaria Eid, the university president, received the Supreme Council of Universities committee tasked with overseeing the aptitude tests at the Faculty of Sports Sciences for the 2026/2027 academic year. The committee included Dr. Heba Rouhi Abu El-Maati, a member of the Sports Sciences Sector Committee at the Supreme Council of Universities and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences at Tanta University for Community Service and Environmental Development; Ms. Ghada Hassan, Director of the International Organizations and Conferences Department at the Supreme Council of Universities; and Ms. Rana Mohamed, Accounts Officer at the Egyptian Universities Network. Also present were Dr. Ali Sabry, the university's Secretary-General, and Dr. Ahmed Zeina, Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences.

 

At the start of the visit, Dr. Yahya Zakaria Eid welcomed the committee members, emphasizing that Kafrelsheikh University prioritizes the application of quality, transparency, and impartiality standards in all stages of the aptitude tests. This ensures equal opportunities for all students, in accordance with the directives of the Egyptian state and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and within the framework of the ongoing monitoring by the Supreme Council of Universities.

 

He noted that the university has provided all the necessary human, organizational, and technical resources to ensure the success of the aptitude tests. This includes preparing the committees, streamlining procedures, and providing a suitable and safe environment for students, reflecting Kafrelsheikh University's standing as one of the leading Egyptian universities in developing the higher education system.

 

Dr. Yahya Zakaria Eid affirmed that the aptitude tests represent a crucial step in identifying outstanding students capable of enrolling in the Faculty of Sports Sciences. He pointed out that the university is committed to ensuring that all tests are conducted according to the regulations and standards approved by the Supreme Council of Universities, thus achieving the highest levels of integrity and transparency.

 

Dr. Yahya Zakaria Eid added that Kafrelsheikh University operates according to an institutional vision aimed at providing a comprehensive model for administering aptitude tests, based on discipline, accuracy, and transparency, while providing all means of support for students. For his part, Dr. Ahmed Zeina, Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences, explained that the faculty has prepared a comprehensive organizational plan to receive students applying for the aptitude tests. This plan includes preparing the testing venues, providing staff and supervisors, and implementing all regulations approved by the Supreme Council of Universities, ensuring the smooth and accurate conduct of the tests.

 

The Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences emphasized that all faculty members and staff are working as a unified team to ensure the tests are conducted in a manner befitting the reputation of Kafrelsheikh University. He noted that the faculty strives to select students who possess the physical, technical, and academic qualities that qualify them to excel in the field of sports sciences.

 

Dr. Ahmed Zeina added that the college is working to provide a distinguished organizational experience for students from the moment they enter the college until the end of the tests, with full commitment to the standards of fairness and transparency. This ensures that the aptitude tests achieve their objectives of selecting the most prepared candidates for study at the Faculty of Sports Sciences.

 

The visit included monitoring the progress of the aptitude tests, reviewing the implementation mechanisms within the committees, and verifying adherence to the regulations and guidelines. It also included inspecting the equipment and resources provided by the university and the college to guarantee the smooth and efficient conduct of the tests.
