As part of Kafrelsheikh University's strategy to support innovation and creativity, promote a culture of scientific research and entrepreneurship, and align educational outcomes with labor market needs and the requirements of digital transformation, Dr. Yahya Zakaria Eid, the university president, attended the second scientific forum for graduation projects at the Faculty of Computers and Information. Also present were Dr. Ismail Ismail Ibrahim, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research; Dr. Amani Shaker, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Dr. Osama Abu Saada, Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Information; faculty members; a number of experts and specialists; company representatives; and a large gathering of students and their parents.
Dr. Yahya Zakaria Eid emphasized that Kafrelsheikh University continues to solidify its position as a leading university in the fields of innovation, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation. He noted that graduation projects have become a genuine platform for producing innovative technological solutions that address societal challenges and equip students to compete effectively in the local, regional, and international job markets.
The university president added that what he witnessed during the forum reflects the significant development taking place in the educational process within the Faculty of Computers and Information. He emphasized the university's success in preparing graduates with scientific knowledge, practical skills, and the ability to innovate, aligning with the goals of Egypt's Vision 2030 and the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research.
Dr. Yahya Zakaria Eid pointed out that the university does not merely graduate students with academic knowledge, but strives to produce innovators and entrepreneurs capable of transforming ideas into viable and investable products and projects. He affirmed that the university administration places great importance on supporting creative students and providing an educational and technological environment that helps them unleash their potential and transform their ideas into practical solutions that serve society.
The university president explained that the forum represents an outstanding model of integration between the university and the job market. It allows students to present their innovations to experts, specialists, and companies, thus opening up broad horizons for employment and entrepreneurship, and enhancing opportunities to transform outstanding projects into competitive startups.
For his part, Dr. Ismail Ismail Ibrahim, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research, affirmed that the university places great importance on applied scientific research that contributes to finding innovative solutions to developmental challenges. He noted that this year's student projects reflected an advanced scientific level and demonstrated a significant ability to utilize artificial intelligence and modern technologies to serve various sectors.
Dr. Amani Shaker, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, emphasized that these projects embody the university's community role, addressing vital issues in the fields of health, energy, environment, tourism, digital services, and cybersecurity, thus enhancing the university's contribution to achieving sustainable development and serving the community.
In his address, Dr. Osama Abu Saada, Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Information, explained that the forum stems from the faculty's commitment to linking academic study with practical application, highlighting students' creative abilities, and providing them with opportunities to connect with industry institutions and the job market. He pointed out that all participating projects represent the product of serious scientific work and continuous effort by students and faculty members.
The university president and attendees witnessed a presentation of a distinguished group of graduation projects covering fields such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, smart energy, digital healthcare, digital transformation, financial technology, smart tourism, customer service, and software engineering. Students presented innovative solutions that demonstrated their ability to leverage cutting-edge global technologies to address real-world challenges.
Among the most prominent projects were Solar Fusion AI for managing solar energy systems using artificial intelligence; CogniVR for cognitive rehabilitation of stroke patients using virtual reality and artificial intelligence; PLANOVA for intelligent software project management; Mudaber for personal financial management; HOOK for supporting sustainable fishing; SentraQ for developing cybersecurity operations centers; SmartRecruit for smart recruitment; Rental Hub for the sharing economy; KEMET for smart tourism; Vivia for developing customer services; and PAD for automating software planning phases.
The university president praised the forum's outstanding academic and organizational level, emphasizing that the students' presentations exemplified the capabilities of Kafrelsheikh University's youth and sent a clear message that true investment begins with investing in creative minds. He affirmed the university's commitment to providing comprehensive support to innovative students and transforming their ideas into development projects that contribute to building a knowledge-based economy.
At the conclusion of the event, Dr. Yahya Zakaria Eid inspected all participating projects, listened to detailed explanations from the students about their ideas and implementation mechanisms, and commended their efforts and creativity. He also expressed his gratitude to the college administration, faculty members, and teaching assistants for their dedication to preparing a generation capable of competition and innovation.
